CCC OD, Tours July 2, 2021 – March 20, 2022 the portrait of christopher atkins Christodoulos Panayiotou Christodoulos Panayiotou continues his artistic work as a journey through history, often using mythology, legends and archaeological knowledge to invent new narratives. In the materiality of his works, he reveals the forgotten dimensions of our lives, our societies and the relationships that are intertwined with them. Often inspired by the history of Cyprus and its culture, his minimal and abstract works tend to cast a critical and offbeat look at all forms of totalitarianism, nationalism and withdrawal. For this exhibition in the white gallery and the galleries of the CCC OD, Christodoulos Panayiotou designs an environment that reacts to the spaces and the architectural identity of the place. The works he brings together speak of our relationship to time, by unearthing individual or collective stories, drawing on biographical and historical archives. It is also by revisiting the medium of painting that the artist addresses the question of passing time, in particular by playing with museological protocols linked to conservation and restoration.Text by: CCC OD Related exhibitions: Christodoulos Panayiotou: JANUARY, FEBRUARY, MAY, JUNE, JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER, DECEMBER, RODEO Piraeus Christodoulos Panayiotou: March, April, November, RODEO London
